
The 7th and 8th graders put what they have been learning about volume to measure a variety of materials around the classroom to find the volume of them.





Due to current weather and road conditions, there will be no school today, Jan. 25th.

Lane Rathert brought in his Apollo 11 moon landing replica made from legos. This was a great finish to our moon unit in science. He explained to the class each part and showed us all the details.


The seventh and eighth grade have been learning about Newton’s Law of motion. They have done a variety of activities. They have practice how an object will stay at rest until acted on by an unbalanced force. They have also worked to find the center of mass a few different ways.





3rd and 4th grade made their own pizza fractions today. They had to equally split their circle according to the given fraction.





3rd and 4th grade have been studying the moon. Today, they demonstrated their knowledge of the phases of the moon with Oreos. They had a blast and even enjoyed the snack afterwards.





Happy New Year! 3rd and 4th grade had to read the details of their recipe to find the main idea/recipe name. Then, they carefully read the directions/details as I made dirt and worms for an afternoon snack. Students also worked together in a main idea/details matching.





The 5th and 6th grade have been learning about the rock cycle during science. They have been completing a variety of learning stations over the process. This was completed by them making “rocks” as the final station using crayons to recreate the process in class.





7th and 8th grade students worked on making their own algebra tiles. They used their algebra tiles to solve equations with positive and negative integers.





Today was all about holidays around the world. Students rotated in stations reading and learning about different countries and how they celebrate Christmas. They enjoyed many treats, but their favorite was Buche de Noel from France.

3rd and 4th grade got to participate in some interactive/building games this afternoon. They worked on their cooperation and skill building.




On the fifth day of kindness students wrote letter thanking our schools custodians for all their hard work keeping the school clean.


3rd and 4th grade learned about the celebration of Las Posadas in Mexico. They even learned about the legend of the poinsettia flower.





The fifth through eighth grade were given a variety of different types of polygons and challenged with the task of seeing if they could put them together to make a snowflake.





3rd and 4th grade used candy canes to complete many different activities. We did an experiment, they wrote an opinion piece, and used their candy cane for math.




On the first day of kindness students made and wrote a card for our school principal, Dr. Akert. They enjoyed sharing kindness with her this afternoon.




3rd and 4th grade will be doing 12 Days of Kindness this holiday season. Under each number is a kindness challenge they will need to complete.


Students worked together to read the lesson story and identify the main idea and main characters of their story.
